Day 1
The bus ride was long, but good, emotions were high as people were getting ready for the adventure with God we are now in. We got an earlier flight from O'Hare as there were bad storms in Houston, but then sat on the runway at Houston for an hour before arriving in a hot and sticky San Salvador to be greated by the Emericks who had traveled the day before and our host Chepe.
Day 2
We were off with high spirits at 7am (not sure how long that will last as we get become more tired as the week progresses). The bus pulled away at 8am as we saw San Salvador for the first time in daylight.
The morning and afternoon were made up of the same activities, children's ministry (playing games, facepainting and having fun) as well as door to door evangelism and rebuilding some desks that will be used for learning.
The evening brought us 2 great events, the first was a youth event with Tyler Harmeyer bringing the message and doing an awesome job. Also, El Salvador was playing the US soccer team in the city so we were out numbered and drew 2-2.
